  • Virtual sessions will have a Join Session button in the conference app and website. They will appear about 5-10 minutes before the session begins.
  • Speakers will have the Join Session button appear about an hour ahead.
  • Speakers (or room moderators) should hit record and stop recording to be sure any videos end up in the On Demand Library
  • There is a printed copy of the schedule in the conference website.
This year’s theme calls for proactive, inclusive, and globally aware leadership inspired by our 2025 organizational partner, Educational Leaders Without Borders. It emphasizes the role of educational leaders in guiding their communities toward innovation, fairness, and a heightened understanding of global interconnections. We hope this theme ignites your interest in joining us virtually in 2025 and encourages you to submit a proposal that explores any facet of this theme.

New Executive Director 
Dr. Stacey Edmonson

The ICPEL Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Stacey Edmonson as our new Executive Director. Stacey brings over 30 years of experience in educational leadership and a passion for our mission to the role. She is the current Dean of the College of Education at Sam Houston State University, where she has held this role since 2014. She also served five years as chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling and has been a professor of educational leadership since 2000. Stacey has also been a past board member of NCPEA (former name of ICPEL) and are beyond thrilled to have her in this new role join our team and lead us into the future.
Dr. Edmonson will replace Dr. Jim Berry, who is retiring on June 30, 2024. We are eternally grateful to Jim and his over 13 years of service as the current Executive Director. His experience and vision have been invaluable and will serve as a group foundation for ICPEL as we continue to serve our membership and advance our mission. Please join us thanking Jim and welcoming Stacey to this new role. We look forward to working with her to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Thank you to the search committee for their contribution and for completing the task expertly. A formal transition will take place at the 2024 ICPEL Conference in San Antonio July 30 - 31, 2024. We hope you can join us and celebrate this momentous event.
