Note: There are many apps that support EPUB and PDF files. 
We recommend using iBooks,  ePub (extension) for Google Chrome, ePub for Android, or any eReader extension for Chrome or Firefox.
Why Won't my book open?
You may not have an ereader on your computer. Do not worry. They are free.

Using Google Chrome

Open a New Browser Window
Go to this website:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/epub-reader/mbcgbbpomkkndfbpiepjimakkbocjgkh?hl=en 
 OR go to the Chrome webstore and search for "epub" to bring up a list of extensions and apps you can add to your Chrome browser

On the upper right side click Add to Chrome
This should open the Google apps main page now. You may see a small "e" reader icon to the right of your address bar now. You can click that to open the extension.

Click the ereader icon
Click to OPEN AN EPUB BOOK
It will let you search for the file you just downloaded. It's probably in your downloads
Once you find it, click it to open it
The book should appear on your screen

When I try to open an ebook I get an error message
When you purchase an ebook in EPUB format and download it to your computer, laptop, or tablet, you will notice the file name ends with EPUB (BookTitle.epub). If you plan to read this ebook on your computer, laptop, or tablet you must download and install an eReader application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Adobe Reader is intended for reading PDF files. Attempting to open an EPUB file in Adobe Reader will result in a “corrupted file” error message.

Once an eReader application is installed, simply right-click on the ebook’s file name, choose Open with, and select your ebook reading software. The book will be added to the application’s ebook library. Then just click on the title and start reading. 

Helpful Hint: Once you add your first ebook to the eReader application, you can choose to always open these types of files (EPUB) using this software. If you choose this option, your ebooks will automatically be added to your reader library when you purchase, download, and open a new ebook. As an added bonus, you can also open PDF files using these ebook readers, which means you can keep all your ebooks (PDF and EPUB) in one library.
