Representation on a national and international level
Annual International Scholarly Conference
- ICPEL sponsors a yearly annual hybrid-flex conference (August) for the collegial dissemination of ideas, professional development, faculty support and recognition. All members receive a deep discount on conference registration.
- The International Annual Summer Conference has historically brought together scholars from across the world and now includes Educational Leaders Without Borders.
National and international networking opportunities
- ICPEL hosts state-sponsored websites to support state educational leadership professor associations and build valuable networking opportunities. These websites are maintained by ICPEL.
- ICPEL partners with Educational Leaders Without Border (ELWB) to improve K-12 education around the world. There are service, presentation, and travel opportunities available to members through this partnership.
- ICPEL sponsors international trips to gain an understanding of education around the world.
Faculty Mentoring
Mentoring Mosaic is an ICPEL-sponsored program that assists new faculty in traversing the educational leadership profession. All members are encouraged to engage with Mentoring Mosaic, either as a mentor or as mentees.
International Service Opportunities
- The ICPEL-sponsored Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (JEDI) committee promotes understanding across the profession, across education, and around the world. All members are welcome to serve
- Members have opportunities to serve the organization as journal reviewers, editors, executive board officers, and members of ICPEL committees
- Members have opportunities to serve international organizations such as ICPEL’s Educational Leaders Without Borders and other international scholars working on global educational and political issues
Recognition
ICPEL recognizes the contributions of its members through the Living Legend award, the Achilles-Hoyle service award, and the Creighton publishing award.

- Membership in ICPEL may be individual or institutional depending on your specific needs
- Institutions only pay for full-time faculty
- Part-time faculty receive all membership benefits for FREE
State Affiliate Support
ICPEL will support state affiliate groups through the creation and curation of localized websites
Support
- Multiple accesses to current information on issues, problems, promising best practices in the field of educational leadership
- Support and assistance for understanding, navigating and completing the accreditation process leading to national accreditation at the program level in educational leadership
