ICPEL Sponsored Trip to Guatemala 
May 24-30, 2024
Over the last seven years (except during the pandemic) ICPEL has sponsored international trips to learn about education across the world. In 2024 join ICPEL for a trip to Guatemala May 24-30, 2024.

• Visit to Antigua, Guatemala which is a UNESCO World Heritage City with one of the best preserved colonial cities in the Americas. The group will start in one of the colonial hotels located near the Central Park of the city.
• Visit coffee farms (one of which is owned by Dr. Beverly Irby and her husband Dr. Rafael Lara)
• Visit Lake Atitlan in the southwestern highlands of Guatemala.
• Visit Mayan indigenous villages.
• We will visit public and private schools in Antigua, Ciudad Vieja and San Martin.
• ICPEL will participate in the Guatemala Stove Project.
• Visit the black volcanic beach of the Pacific Coast.
• Shop the Antigua Market, visit the Jade factory and museums.
• Deposits for the trip of $600 must be made to ICPEL by December 15, 2023.
  • Total cost for the six day trip is $1,100 plus airfare to and from Guatemala City.
  • A detailed itinerary will be completed and sent out to participants in January.
  • The final deposit for the trip is due February 1, 2024.
  • The trip will be limited to a maximum of twenty participants.
