Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders
The field of education is going through tremendous change. To ensure the schools and districts that serve our communities are fully meeting the needs of their students and families, educational leaders need to be strategically focused on proven leadership and administrative strategies, use research-based best practices, and are effective change leaders.
Our mission to advance the educational leadership profession and support the professional growth of
professors of educational administration in the state of Michigan is central to a successful educational system that serves all students. This work is about preparing current and future school and district leaders to be focused on academic quality, student well-being, and effective organizations. This is more than just a certificate or maintaining organizations, today's educational leader is tasked with facilitating change, developing staff capacity, and building communities. This requires a strong system of preparation that coordinates with the state departments, professional associations, legislators and policy makers, parents and communities.
Michigan's university preparation programs are the epicenter of this work and serve to not only advance leadership preparation standards and outcomes, but are on the leading edge of developing new and innovative ways of growing new leaders. Join us as we engage in advancing educational leadership capacity across Michigan, one leader at a time.
