Cocktail Technology Test Kitchen

Thursday August 5, 2021
6pm (EST)
Welcome to the ICPEL Cocktail Technology Test Kitchen experience! The Cocktail Technology Test Kitchen showcases innovative tools and approaches to integrating technology into our classrooms. We envision the test kitchen to be a virtual space where conference participants can have a quick introduction to new learning technologies and techniques that support innovative curriculum design.
This is a safe space designed to allow for your peers to share what tools and techniques have been working in their classrooms while offering tips, hints, and examples of what they have experiences using the tool. During each 15-minute session, fellow educators will introduce their tool or approach, conduct a short demo on usability, and guide participants through an example from their own experience. In these demo sessions we'll peek into what's happening in collaborative technology tools, we'll explore ways to keep learners engaged through interactive apps & tools, we'll dive into audio and video production tools, and we'll share our favorite open source tools and technologies.
Even though you might not be able to attend each session, we will be providing “recipe” cards on the ICPEL 2021 Conference App.
Do you want to break out of old habits and ruts you might be teaching in? Come check out our Cocktail Technology Test Kitchen where fellow educators will share their “recipes” for success and help you adapt those “recipes” to meet the needs of your learners!
