What is ICPEA?The Illinois Council of Professors of Educational Administration (ICPEA) represents university faculty from 31 educational administration and leadership preparation programs approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
Our mission is to prepare ethical, moral, and competent school administrators who can lead in a diverse community, promote equity and fairness, and support school staff in fostering academic achievement and the development of its students. |
Administrative Licensure
Illinois educator preparation programs leading to administrative licensure are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Our Focus Is Leadership
ICPEA members prepare the next generation of school leaders to lead effective, equitable schools. Our work is focused on improving the knowledge and skills of practicing and aspiring leaders to advance educational excellence throughout Illinois.
Members are focused on preparing Illinois educational leaders through various degrees and programs across 31 institutions.

Continuous leadership development is a core element in effective leadership. Illinois members provide continuous, life-long learning options for current educational leaders through advanced degree programs, certificates, and other learning opportunities.
