ICPEL International Seminar - 2025 China
The 2025 ICPEL sponsored international trip will be to China. The trip is being hosted by Wang Hongshan (Wendy) who also hosted the 2017 trip to China. She has also traveled to Cuba in 2016 and Guatemala in 2024 as an ICPEL member/participant. Wendy is the owner and Director of a 1,600 student private school in Zunyi, Guizhou Province. Her connection to ICPEL as a Chinese educator will insure meaningful school and university visits and discussions.
The following itinerary will begin and end in Shanghai before traveling to X’ian to see the terra cotta warriors; then Chengdu to visit the panda center; and, finally to Zunyi to experience the culture of Guizhou Province and visit schools.

The trip dates have tentatively been set from May 19-26, 2025. Following is the traveling itinerary. The detailed itinerary will be finalized over the next few months. Please note that a passport and visa are both required. Thus, final payment for the trip is due by January 15 (leaving time to secure visas for the trip).

- The cost of the trip will be $2,500 plus airfare.
- Participants need to factor in incidental costs such as the visa application, acquiring a passport (if needed), medical insurance (if needed), souvenirs and expenses one has beyond the cost of the trip.
- Rooms, meals, and transportation within China will be covered by the $2,500. High speed train will be the primary mode of transportation within China.
