ICPEL International Seminar - 2025 China/Hong Kong
Trip facilitated by James Berry, former Executive Director of ICPEL
Below is a revised and detailed itinerary for the ICPEL trip to China/Hong Kong for ICPEL May 19-31, 2025. In December the Chinese government approved a ten day transit for US (and other countries) citizens. This means we don’t need a visa (which saves $500 dollars). However, it requires a third country destination. The Chinese government allowed Hong Kong to be the “third country” to help travelers meet this requirement.
Thus, the changed itinerary avoids the expense ($500) and bureaucratic hassle of applying for a visa. The cost of the trip will now reflect an extra day taking the bullet train to Hong Kong, the overnight stay, food, etc.
Wendy (our host and contact in China) has made the changes reflected in the new itinerary. I am letting ICPEL membership know of this late developing change should there be a renewed interest in participating.
Eliminating the visa requirement makes things that much easier for anyone interested in going to China in 2025. Final payment is now due February 28th. Please contact James Berry at [email protected] if you would like to join this ICPEL sponsored trip. Please note that single rooms in Hong Kong will need to be doubled up (because of greater expense for rooms than mainland China.)
